2 men armed with handguns rob family in Ann Arbor Township home

No one hurt during incident Monday night on Trillium Woods Drive

ANN ARBOR TOWNSHIP, Mich. – Two men held a family at gunpoint in their Ann Arbor Township home as they stole cash and jewelry, the Washtenaw County Sheriff's Office said.

In a statement, the office said the incident happened Monday night in the 2300 block of Trillium Woods Drive.

Deputies said the couple and their young child in the home were not hurt, but the men got away with the family's valuables. Deputies didn't immediately release how the robbers got in.

Detailed descriptions of the men haven't been released – only that they were black, in their 20s, wore dark clothing and had bandannas covering their faces. One of the men was heavy-set and the other was described as thin with a Caribbean accent.
