2 teens shot near Old Redford Academy during basketball game, police say

DETROIT – Two teens have been shot near the Old Redford Academy on Detroit's west side.

Police said a 16-year-old boy was shot in the arm as he ran toward the school from the strip mall adjacent to the school. 

An 18-year-old boy was also shot in the arm and drove himself to the hospital, police said. Both teens are listed in temporary serious condition.

Detroit police said the shooting happened across the street from the school. 

Multiple students were attending a basketball game between Bradford High School and Old Redford Academy at the time of the shooting.

Police did not release a description of a suspect.
