2 men, 1 woman injured in 3 separate Detroit shootings Thursday

DETROIT – Detroit police say three people were injured in three separate shootings in Detroit Thursday.

Officials say a 52-year-old man was renovating a vacant house when he heard a gunshot and felt pain in his leg.

The victim suffered a gunshot wound and had non-fatal injuries.

Police say this happened in the 5200 block of West Outer Drive in Detroit at around 4 a.m.

At 9:40 p.m. in the 15800 block of Manor Avenue, a 53-year-old woman said she was shot inside a building.

Authorities say the woman claims to have heard three gunshots and felt pain. She was hit by one bullet and non-fatally wounded.

Police say the suspects in these two shootings are unknown. Anyone with information on these shootings is asked to call criminal investigators at 313-596-1240.

At 9:55 p.m., in the 16500 block of Chandler Park Drive, a 16-year-old boy was shot in his leg. Police say a white car pulled up and the passenger announced a hold-up.

The victim tried to run away, but heard several gunshots and felt pain in his leg, according to police.

The victim was non-fatally wounded, police say. The suspects escaped in the white car.

Police are searching for two 25-year-old black men driving a white car.
