Attorneys for Hiller's have notified the Michigan Workforce Development Agency of plans to terminate all Hiller's employees. The notification puts the number of employees at 846.

The closing of Hiller's stores will take place between June 30 and July 13.

Kroger is encouraging those employees to apply for jobs with Kroger.

All Hiller's stores are included in the agreement -- West Bloomfield, Ann Arbor, Northville, Plymouth, South Lyon and Commerce Township.

After the sale, Kroger will assume the lease for the store at 3010 Union Lake Road, but will not operate the store as there is a recently built Kroger store and fuel center across the street.
