The family of a 60-year-old man who was found dead last week on Detroit’s southwest side is making a public plea for help in solving his murder.

Isaiah Brown was last seen leaving his home for work at 4 a.m. on Aug. 13. He was found just a couple of hours later dead under the train tracks at Central South and John Kronk.

His sister-in-law, Sandra Gordon, said Brown used to walk all the way to Dearborn to work at a temp agency.

He was retired after having worked 30 years as a custodian at Chadsey High School.

He leaves behind two daughters and a longtime girlfriend.

“He did not deserve this at all. He was loving, caring. I see his face every day,” Gordon said.

Detroit Police Sgt. Steven Ford said Brown was well respected in the community.

“We have no leads. So, whatever information you guys can provide, would be greatly appreciated,” Ford said.

Crime Stoppers is offering a reward in the case. Anonymous tips can  be left at 800-SPEAKUP.
