BURTON, Mich. – Two children who were taken when a vehicle they were inside was stolen Wednesday morning near Flint have been found safe, according to WEYI.
The vehicle was found in Flint, and the kids are safe.

The children are with their parents now, police said.

What happened:
An Amber Alert was issued after a 3-year-old girl and a 9-month-old boy were in a two-door Monte Carlo when it was stolen at about 7 a.m. Wednesday at the Admiral Gas Station on South Saginaw Street in Burton. The kids were in the backseat of the car.
Burton police first put out a notice that they were searching for the kids and the car. An Amber Alert soon followed.

Burton police said the boy, Lincoln Buning, has blue eyes and brown hair. He was wearing footie pajamas with trucks on them. He is about 22 pounds.
His sister, Arinna Buning, has long brown hair and hazel eyes. She was wearing a pink coat, purple pants and blue snow boots. She is about 28 pounds.
The stolen vehicle is a 2000 dark blue Monte Carlo with tinted or darker windows. It has Michigan license plate DKZ 4121.

Suspect description
The suspect was described as a black man wearing a red hooded sweatshirt. He is also described as heavy-set, about 300 pounds and standing about 5 feet 10 inches tall.
Burton police said the man was spotted on surveillance video walking along Saginaw Street just before the car was stolen. Police believe the man may have ditched the vehicle with the kids once he realized they were in the back seat.
