Police said he walked over to the honey buns, picked up three boxes and headed for the door. The security guard tried to stop him and the thief pointed a gun at him, police said.

The thief told the security guard to “step back,” according to police.

Police said the thieves escaped in a gray Honda 2-door vehicle with a temporary tag in the back window.

The security guard was not injured.

Police believe that two men were involved in the robbery. The first thief is described as black with a dark complexion, 5 feet 11 inches tall, weighing 150 pounds, wearing a black T-shirt and dark shorts. The second man is described as black with a light complexion, 5 feet 7 inches tall, weighing 165 pounds, clean shaven, with a medium-size Afro, and was wearing a white T-shirt and beige Dickies pants.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Detroit police.
