DETROIT – It's been nice while it lasted, but it appears a big rise in gas prices is expected in the coming weeks.
It's the time of year gas retailers switch from "Winter blends" to "Summer blends," which typically results in a jump in price.
But watchdog website GasBuddy.com says refinery issues could push the price even more.
Prices could rise at least 10 cents per week for the next several weeks.
The state average is currently $2.30 per gallon and Detroit's average is $2.28.
