Chesterfield Township police seek jewelry heist suspects

Police say suspects smashed front door, display cases at Chesterfield Township jewelry store on 23 Mile Road

CHESTERFIELD TOWNSHIP, Mich. – Chesterfield Township police are asking for the public's help in identifying two suspects from a break-in robbery Saturday at Georgio's Jewelry on 23 Mile Road.

Police say surveillance video from the jewelry store shows two masked men driving a mid 1990s to early 2000s full-size, dark-colored Dodge van with chrome wheels and a chrome grill.

The men smashed the front door to the store and smashed interior display cases. Police responded as the burglar alarm went off. However, by the time officers arrived the suspects had fled with unknown amount of jewelry from the display cases.
