AUBURN HILLS, Mich. – When a customer in the parking lot of a Home Depot saw loss prevention officers trying to stop a shoplifting suspect, he decided it was a good time to use his concealed pistol.
Auburn Hills police say the customer saw the suspect get into a dark colored SUV and begin to flee. That's when he fired shots at the vehicle.

Police say the shooter has a concealed pistol license (CPL) and is cooperating with police. No injuries have been reported.
The shoplifting suspect is described as a black man in his 40s. A second suspect is described as a white man between 40 and 50 years old. He was wearing a black shirt with yellow writing on it and a black baseball cap.
Police are investigating. No arrests have been made.
