Crime Stoppers offers $25,000 reward to solve case of Harper Woods restaurant owner's death

HARPER WOODS, Mich. – A $25,000 reward is being offered to solve a Harper Woods restaurant owner's 2013 death.

Altin Avdyli was shot to death Dec. 6, 2013, in an alley behind the Royal Grill on Kelly Road -- and it was all caught on tape.

The video shows Avdyli walking to his car and another person apparently hiding behind a dumpster enclosure.

The video shows a man by a dumpster run out and confront Avdyli. A short scuffle ensues and Avdyli is shot.

Seconds later, the gunman drives off with the Avdyli's gray 2010 Chebrolet Camaro, running over his body in the process.

Avdyli moved to the United States from Kosovo in 2006 and had only recently purchased the restaurant, which is now closed.

"My husband of seven years was murdered for no reason. A car is not enough of a reason for anyone to be murdered," said Avdyli's wife, Mimoza.

"Through our investigation we know there was more than one person involved in this senseless murder. We also know that there are numerous people that know who are responsible for this incident," said Harper Woods police Det. Ted Stager.

Crime Stoppers of Michigan is offering a cash reward of up to $25,000 for information that leads to an arrest.

Anyone who has information regarding the crime should call Crime Stoppers of Michigan at 1-800-SPEAK-UP or 1-800-773-2587. All calls and cash rewards are completely anonymous.
