Dashcam video shows DUI arrest of Pistons assistant Tim Hardaway

Hardaway was driving 93 mph on 13 Mile Road, officer said.

BEVERLY HILLS, Mich. – Local 4 has obtained dashcam video from the DUI arrest of Pistons assistant coach Tim Hardaway.

The video shows the former NBA star doing a field sobriety test in his driveway.

Beverly Hills police said they spotted Hardaway speeding in April. Video shows the officer making an immediate U-turn.

"He was doing 93 down 13 Mile Road," the officer said.

The dashcam video shows Hardaway was not happy with getting detained in front his house. Once in the back seat of the police car, he gave cops an earful.

"Ya'll got the wrong (person)," Hardaway said. "Ya'll gonna have to pay for everything ya'll doing to me. I'm telling you, I do a lot for the community."

"That's good," the officer replied.

"And you do what I ask you to," Hardaway said.

Court records reveal Hardaway's blood alcohol content was twice the legal limit, blowing .17. He's charged with being "super drunk."

Legal expert Neil Rockind said a conviction on the charge comes with up to six months in jail and stricter driving penalties.

Once en route to the police station, Hardaway insisted the cops made a mistake.

"Another thing, I'm not drunk and I'm not intoxicated," Hardaway said.

"OK," the officer replied.

"I'm at the house and I'm about to back up and they pull me over on some bull stuff," Hardaway said.
