DETROIT – A DDOT bus that was sitting in the left lane of eastbound I-94 with a mechanical issue was rear-ended by a pickup truck Saturday morning, authorities say.
There were no passengers on the bus at the time of the crash, and the driver of the bus was uninjured.
The driver of the truck was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the van was listed in critical condition.
I-94 was closed after the incident, but reopened early in the afternoon.
