Judge declares mistrial on counts against Kilpatricks, Ferguson

DETROIT – Judge Nancy Edmunds declared a mistrial Thursday on individual counts which the jury could not reach a decision on in the trial against former Detroit mayor Kwame Kilpatrick, his father Bernard Kilpatrick and his friend Bobby Ferguson.

There will not be a new trial for the counts despite Kilpatrick's attorneys request for one.
