Detroit police seek man who has tried to lure teenage girls

Police say man has exposed himself to girls

DETROIT – Police want to find a man who has been exposing himself to teenage girls and actually grabbed some of them.

Detroit police are looking for a black man between 30 and 40 years old, standing about 5 feet 7 inches tall, weighing about 170 pounds, with black hair, a goatee and mustache.

He was last seen wearing a black baseball cap, black jacket and blue jeans. He has a scar on his right cheek and he was driving a black Ford coup with dark rims.

Police say he has attempted to get girls into his car four times. One incident was near Westwood and Joy where he actually got out of his car and grabbed a 14-year-old girl. Police say he tried to drag her into his car. She managed to get away.

He exposed himself to girls, which he did at least once at Westfield and Westwood.

"We are concerned certainly about the troubling pattern and we want to bring him into custody sooner than later," said Detroit Police Chief James Craig.

Police believe he may be lurking near 6 Mile and Telegraph roads.

Anyone with information on this man needs to contact Detroit police.
