Detroit police seek teens who robbed man at gunpoint outside bank

Robbers also stole man's 1999 Mercury Villager

DETROIT – Police are trying to identify and find three people wanted in connection to an armed robbery and carjacking which happened Wednesday outside a bank in the 21500 block of Grand River Avenue.

At about 10:45 p.m. three teens approached a 51-year-old man outside the Citizens Bank. They robbed him at gunpoint and stole his gold 1999 Mercury Villager.

The victim was not injured.

Descriptions of the robbers:

1. Black male, 15-17 years old, medium complexion, 5 feet 8 inches tall, 155 pounds, wearing a Carhart style jacket and blue jeans. He was armed with a handgun.

2. Black male, 15-17 years old, light complexion, light facial hair, 5 feet 5 inches tall, 140 pounds, small afro, wearing a brown hooded sweatshirt. He also was armed with a handgun.

3. Black male, 15-17 years old, dark complexion. No further description.

Police say the three males are shown in the attached surveillance photos.
