Driver seriously hurt after crash with school bus in Walled Lake

Officials rescued a driver from wreckage after he crashed into a school bus in Walled Lake on Sept. 13, 2017. (WDIV)

WALLED LAKE, Mich. – A driver was seriously injured Wednesday in a crash with a school bus in Walled Lake, officials said.

There were no students on the school bus. The bus driver was the only person on board.

Officials believe the driver of the car had some sort of medical emergency that caused the crash. The driver was rescued from the wreckage and is in serious condition.

The crash happened on Commerce Road north of Pontiac Trail.
