Elderly man who recently won lottery missing, Detroit police say

Arthur Neal Jr. last seen morning of Dec. 20 at his home

DETROIT – The Detroit Police Department is asking for the public's help in finding an 86-year-old man who was last seen earlier this month.

Arthur Weldon Neal Jr. was last seen at 8 a.m. Dec. 20 at his home in the 17200 block of Trinity Street, police said.

Neal has recently won the lottery and disappeared shortly there after, according to Detroit police.

His family said Neal has never gone this long without some kind of communication.

Neal is described by police as a black man with a medium complexion who is 5 feet 7 inches, weighs 160 pounds, and has gray hair, a full beard and mustache.

He was driving a black 1998 Cadillac Deville with a Michigan plate of BMZ7786, police said.
