EMT attacked while responding to call on Detroit's east side

An EMT was attacked Tuesday night on Detroit’s east side.

EMS technicians were bringing a patient out of a house on Chatsworth Street, when a family member became upset, grabbing a prep radio and throwing it through the window of the ambulance.

The EMT suffered a cut to his head and was taken to the hospital.

The incident comes on the heels of a vicious attack in October of 2015 where two Detroit EMTs suffered stab wounds to their faces and hands while treating a woman for an injured ankle.
