Farmington Hills Police to increase school patrols Monday

Direct response to suspicious encounter

FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich. – The Farmington Hills Police Department is issuing a stranger danger alert for parents and children.

They're also increasing patrols Monday. It's a direct result of a suspicious encounter, involving a young child near a bus stop.

On Friday, an 8-year-old male was approached at the school bus stop at Cranleigh and Briarwyke Drive. A thin man, described as 6 feet tall, approached the boy.

He asked him to get inside his white four-door vehicle.

The child kept walking, and arrived home safely.

Police in Farmington Hills continue their investigation.
