FBI seeks more victims in child porn case involving former Michigan teacher

Gregory Austin, former Eisenhower Elementary teacher, charged with distributing pornographic photos of students

DETROIT – A former teacher is under fire and facing child pornography charges. Now, the FBI is looking to see if there are more victims involved.

Gregory Austin, a former Fraser School District teacher and band instructor, has turned into a suspect in a federal child pornography case

Police discovered a number of hidden pornographic images of minors, some of them included disturbing pictures of Fraser students.

There were sexual text messages and pornographic videos involving children.

The concern is there could be more victims out there.

" We're currently investigating to try to find out how many more, if there are more victims that be involved in this," says FBI spokesperson, Simon Shaykhet.

Austin, who is married with children, taught at Eisenhower Elementary.

Authorities believe the 32-year-old predominantly came into contact with high school students through the Internet.

"We do believe that using the internet and popular such as Facebook, which made it very easy for him to communicate directly with children," says Shaykhet.

This investigation unfolded when Roseville Police arrested Austin back in March for his alleged involvement in a drug deal on school property.

His legal troubles just got a whole lot worse.

And this could be just the beginning if more victims come forward.

"We absolutely want to hear from anyone that may have information," says Shaykhet.

Austin is also accused of distributing child porn.

There will be a hearing later this week to determine whether he stays in jail.
