Fight between 2 friends leads to deadly shooting on Detroit's east side

DETROIT – Police are searching for a gunman after a fight between two men left a 28-year-old man dead Sunday afternoon.

It happened about 2 p.m. on the east side on Prince Hall Drive near East Vernor Highway around 2p.m.

Loved ones cried and hugged each other after the man was shot dead.

Detroit police said two men got into an argument, and one of them pulled out a gun and fired. The victim was taken to an area hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Homicide detectives spent hours inside the home in the 2300 block of Prince Hall Drive.

It's not clear what the men were fighting about, but the argument turned physical and ultimately proved deadly.

Neighbors said the men knew each other.
