Gibraltar woman charged with giving nephew drugs that caused his death

Belinda Guzzi-Ford gave Kevin Bryant methadone, Xanax, prosecutors say

DETROIT – A 52-year-old Gibraltar woman is charged with giving her nephew a mixture of drugs that ultimately led to his death in December.

The Wayne County Prosecutor's Office said Belinda Guzzi-Ford gave 32-year-old Kevin Bryant methadone and alprazolam -- also known as Xanax -- on Dec. 10, 2015. Bryant's wife found him unresponsive in their Rockwood home in the next day. Paramedics tried to revive him, but he was pronounced dead.
