Great Lakes Comic Con runs this weekend at Macomb Community College

WARREN, Mich. – The Great Lakes Comic Con is running this weekend at Macomb Community College in Warren. The annual event brings fans of comic books, toys and collectibles together.

Several comic creators with strong Michigan ties are set to appear at the event, including Keith Pollard, who's drawn "Thor" and "Amazing Spider-Man"; Ron Marz, who's written "Silver Surfer," and "Green Latern"; and Bill Messner-Loebs, who has written "Thor," "Wonder Woman," and "The Flash."

The event will be held Friday, Feb. 27 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Saturday, Feb 28 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tickets cost $15 for a two-day pass and $10 for a one-day pass. Children 10 and younger are free to enter.
