Gunman shoots into Detroit home, injures 18-year-old woman

DETROIT – Detroit police are searching for the gunman who opened fire into a home, injuring an 18-year-old woman while she slept.

It happened on Forrer Street in the area of Greenfield and Schoolcraft on the city’s west side overnight.

Sources say the woman was shot in both of her legs.  She is expected to be OK.

The homeowner, Joseph Williams said this is the second time his house has been hit by gunfire in a week.

"Last week, some young people came by and shot up my house," Williams said.  "They robbed, you know, my step son, took his telephone."

Williams said his step son and girlfriend did not report the robbery to police.

No arrests have been made.
