Gunman sought in fatal shooting of Detroit man, police say

Police: Argument erupted into fight early Saturday

DETROIT – Detroit police are asking for the public's help in finding the gunman wanted in connection with the fatal shooting of a 25-year-old man.

A preliminary investigation revealed an argument erupted into a fight at 1:45 a.m. Saturday in the 20100 block of Livernois Avenue, police said.

At that point, the gunman produced a handgun and began firing at the victim, striking him multiple times, according to Detroit police.

The shooter is described by police as a black man with a medium complexion who is 20 to 25 years old, 5 feet 6 inches to 5 feet 7 inches tall, weighing 140 to 150 pounds with a slim build and short dreadlocks. He has tattoos on his neck and under his right eye. Police said he was wearing a blue coat and black jeans.

Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to call the Detroit Police Department or Crime Stoppers.
