Hundreds attend vigil for Danielle Stislicki in Redford Township

REDFORD TOWNSHIP, Mich. – Danielle Stislicki and her family moved out of Redford more than a decade ago, but the community remembers them, and they came out by the hundreds to show support Thursday night.

"We don't know what happened to Danielle. What we do know is there is an incredible base of wonderful people like you," Danielle's mother, Ann Stislicki, told the crowd.

"It's a homecoming of hearts," Danielle's father, Richard Stislicki, told everybody.

Danielle Stislicki, 28, has been missing since Dec. 2, when she vanished from her Farmington Hills apartment. There was no fight and no family drama.

The last text from her was around 5 p.m. on Dec. 2 to her good friend talking about getting off of work.

Danielle Stislicki graduated from Redford Union High School, and even her kindergarten teacher attended the vigil to lend support.

"I loved Danielle and I can still remember her," Judy Sarns said.

The community made burgundy ribbons to wear and to put up. The family chose burgundy because Danielle had worn a dress that color to her brother's wedding and looked beautiful in it. Family members said they hope the ribbons will be a conversation starter and will jog memories.

They hope somebody saw something that will help police find her.
