Husband makes plea for wife's safe return home

Joyce Friday, who suffers from dementia, missing since Dec. 1

DETROIT – A heartbroken husband is making a desperate plea for his wife's return home.

Calvin Friday spent Christmas searching for his 74-year-old wife, Joyce.

Joyce has dementia and wandered away from her home on Dec . 1.

"We love you and miss you. You've been gone for 25 days, girl. Been too long. Come home," Calvin Friday said. "If anybody sees her out there, please call the number."

Police got a tip over the weekend that Joyce had been spotting walking around a Wal-Mart on Ford Road in Dearborn. Her husband spent hours passing out his wife's picture in the area.

Joyce is described as 4 feet 11 inches tall and about 80 pounds.

She was last seen wearing a red coat, black shoes and greenish khaki pants.

If anyone has seen Joyce, contact the Detroit Police Department's Criminal Investigative Bureau at 313-596-5240.
