WARREN, Mich. – Amid the discovery of a body that is being investigated as belonging to a missing Warren woman, another charge has been issued against her husband.
Police say 46-year-old Loyd Dejohn told them he last saw his wife, Kimberly, when she left home following a fight May 14. He has admitted to shoving his wife, resulting in her hitting her head on a dresser.
Loyd Dejohn was original charged with aggravated domestic violence, but during a hearing on Thursday, the court added an additional charge of assault with intent to do great bodily harm. His bond was also brought up to $1 million.
Police have said he's a person of interest in his wife's disappearance.
On Wednesday, police said a woman's body was found in Cheboygan County's Koehler Township, about 220 miles northwest of Detroit. Police Commissioner Jere Green said in a statement it was found at a "possible burial site" for the 51-year-old Kimberly Dejohn.
