DETROIT – Experiencing the death of a loved one through murder is excruciating enough. But to then have the case go unsolved is a whole other dimension of pain for a family. Now, those suffering have come together to do something about it.
Those in the "Remember Me Quilt Project" come together because they share a common pain that comes with being the victims of senseless violence.
They not only share stories, but also create a physical reminder of their loved ones that can be displayed a memorial. It also provides a way to promote the unsolved crimes in the hopes that someone will come forward with information.
