COMMERCE TOWNSHIP, Mich. – A 29-year-old Livonia man was arrested Monday in connection with a robbery at a Comerica Bank inside a Kroger grocery store in Commerce Township.
Police were called at 9:18 a.m. Saturday to the Kroger in the 47000 block of West Pontiac Trail. The teller at the Comerica Bank branch inside Kroger told police she was preparing to open the branch and had placed a large amount of money on the counter.

She said a man spoke to her and directed her attention away from the money. He then reached over the counter, grabbed the money and ran out of the store.
There were no injuries in the incident.
An anonymous tip submitted to the Oakland County Sheriff's Office led police to Kory James McMachen. He was taken into custody and is being held in the Oakland County Jail.
McMachen is charged with one count of larceny in a building.
Police said a total of $4,000 was stolen, but none of it was recovered.
McMachen was arraigned Wednesday and is being held on $50,000 bail.
A preliminary hearing is scheduled for July 19.
