DETROIT – The first Detroit Commitment Day 5K run/walk is scheduled to take place downtown on Tuesday.
Commitment Day is a program to get people exercising and is open to people of all ages. Registration for the event begins at 9am.

Due to Commitment Day, Monroe Street and Gratiot Avenue at Farmer Street will be closed from 9am to 1pm on New Year's Day.
The run/walk starts and finishes at Ford Field.
