Downtown Boxing Gym "Brawls for it All" on Cinco de Mayo

The fundraiser will feature a live boxing event and cuisine from Detroit's top chefs

DETROIT – The Downtown Youth Boxing Program is hosting a Cinco De Mayo themed fundraiser featuring a live boxing event and cuisine from Detroit's top chefs.

The Downtown Boxing Gym is a non-profit organization that aims to make a difference in Detroit's youth with academic services, mentoring, community service and physical training.

The event will help fund the organization's summer academic programs.

Some of the featured chefs include: Dave Mancini -- Supino's Pizzeria; Andy Hollyday -- Roast; Will Branch -- Corridor Sausage Company; Marc Djozlija -- MGM Grand Casino; and Christina Gibbs.

The fundraiser will be held on Sunday May 5, at Detroit Eastern Market Shed 3 on 2934 Russell Street from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m.

VIP tickets, which include dinner and front row seats to the boxing event, are $175.

Regular dinner tickets are $100. General admission for the boxing event is $25.

Doors for admission to dinner open at 4pm, with dinner served at 5pm.

General admission for the live boxing event opens at 6:30 p.m., with boxing starting at 7 p.m.
