Madison Heights man killed in fire

MADISON HEIGHTS, Mich. – A 59-year-old man was killed Sunday morning when his house in Madison Heights caught fire, according to the fire department.

Authorities say the fire happened in the 30000 block of Groveland Street.

The victim is Fernando Gonzalez, who ran a hair salon out of the home.

Fire crews from Madison Heights, Hazel Park, Ferndale and Royal Oak worked overnight to put out the deadly fire.
