WARREN, Mich. – Warren police arrested a man Friday night after a standoff that lasted hours at the Suez Motel on 8 Mile Road between Ryan and Dequindre roads.
Police say the man claimed to have some sort of object with him in a room at the motel. It's not clear if he had a gun or explosives inside the motel.

Police moved in and took him into custody.
A few couples were evacuated from the motel while police surrounded it.
