MT. CLEMENS, Mich. -

Scott Weideman, a 49-year-old Harrison Township man, was arrested on Monday at 12:58 a.m. after he was pulled over for the 24th time for driving with a suspended license.

A Macomb County Sheriff saw Weidman's van speeding down North Avenue in Mt. Clemens in a 2014 Ford E250 van and made a traffic stop near the Silver Springs mobile home park.

Weidman told the deputy that his license was suspended. The officer discovered that his driving privilege was "administratively denied and revoked" by the Michigan Secretary of State's Office because Weidman had 23 previous convictions for driving with a suspended license.

A 28-year-old man from Chesterfield Township was a passenger in the van, and was arrested on an outstanding warrant for drunk driving.

Both men were taken to the Macomb County Jail and the van was impounded.
