Pedestrian killed in hit-and-run on Detroit's west side

DETROIT – Detroit police say a pedestrian was killed Sunday in a hit-and-run at Warren and Livernois avenues on the city's west side.

Earlier Sunday police suspected that the man killed was the driver and was ejected from the vehicle. Police were investigating if this was a drag racing incident.

After the initial investigation police believe that the incident was a hit-and-run.

Police have determined that Bradley Harris was hit by a silver Ford Tauruson Warren Avenue around 4:30 a.m. He was 22.

Police said the driver of the car took the license plate off the vehicle and fled on foot.  The driver's girlfriend stayed behind and was in the passenger seat when police arrived.

Police have identified the driver who is still on the loose.
