One man is dead and another is in custody after an active shooter situation that took place in Southgate, early Saturday.
Southgate Police are investigating a homicide that took place inside the 'AJM Packing Plant,' near Reeck Road and Goddard roads.
After receiving calls of shots fired, police swarmed the area of the plant, looking for the person responsible.
Family members of workers inside the plant say a temp worker ran inside and shot another man, who was also a temp worker.
Police said that the man who was shot died from his injuries adding that the shooting was over a woman, who also worked at the plant.
The weapon was recovered at the scene and the suspect is in custody awaiting charges.
