Redford police: Man killed, woman arrested in suspected drunk driving accident

REDFORD, Mich. – Redford Township police have arrested a 25-year-old woman for her involvement in a deadly crash early Thursday morning. 

According to a press release from the department, the 25-year-old Redford Township resident was driving a pick-up northbound on Beech Daly Road near Plymouth Road when she crossed the center line, hitting a SUV head-on. 

The 31-year-old Inkster man driving the SUV was transported to the hospital where he was pronounced dead. The passenger, a 30-year-old woman from Inkster, also was transported to the hospital for treatment.

Names of the parties involved have not been released.
