MAP: Michigan Upper Peninsula road construction projects in 2017 No description found
We're approaching warmer months in Michigan, or as some call it, orange barrel season.
The Michigan Department of Transportation released a full map and list of upcoming minor and major road projects happening this year.
The biggest 2017 project has already started, as I-75 southbound is closed between Detroit and Downriver for the next two years.
Here's some of the notable projects happening in the U.P. in 2017:
US-2/US-41/M-35: April 2017-Jan 2018 : 1st year of 2-year project. Replace US-2/US-41/M-35 bridge over Escanaba River and E&LS Railroad bridge over US-2/US-41/M-35. 1 lane open in each direction.
US-2: May-Sept: Resurface 5.2 miles from Oss Rd to US-141 in Crystal Falls.
