REDFORD – A medical examiner has ruled the death of a baby boy born inside a Redford Township business as homicide.

The medical examiner said the full-term baby died from asphyxiation.

The baby and its mother, a 26-year-old Wyandotte woman, were taken from Ceva Logistics to a hospital on March 31. The baby was pronounced dead at the hospital.

Police had been waiting for the medical examiner's report to determine if charges should be pursued. An announcement on whether the mother will be charged is expected any time.
