Men rescued from Pontiac water tower were painters

PONTIAC, Mich. – Two men rescued from a Pontiac water tower on Friday were painters. 

The men fell inside the water tower near the corner of Montcalm and Edison streets. Chopper footage of the 75-minute rescue showed two men removed from the tower on stretchers.

Both painters were taken to Beaumont hospital and both underwent surgery. One of the men suffered a head injury.
