DETROIT – A Michigan State Police trooper and dispatch trainee who hurt in a crash last week on Interstate 75 have been released from the hospital.

The two were in a cruiser March 12 that was parked on the side of the interstate near the Caniff Avenue exit for a separate traffic incident when it was hit by a pickup truck going approximately 70 mph.

The trooper suffered a cut to his face and an arm injury. The dispatcher suffered an injury to the back.

The driver of the truck wasn't hurt, but was cited for failure to yield to a stationary emergency vehicle and careless driving.
