HAZEL PARK, Mich. – A 50-year-old Eastpointe woman is accused of driving while "super drunk" before assaulting an employee at a Hazel Park church.
Shelley Kellner was arrested on suspicion of driving drunk on May 28 at the Landmark Community Church on North Chrysler Drive. Police say she had a blood-alcohol level of .32 percent -- almost four times the legal driving limit of .08 -- which means she can be charged under the state of Michigan's "super drunk" law. A suspect can be charged under the law when their blood-alcohol level is .17 or more.

Kellner allegedly went to the church in search of a man that she thought she could find there. An employee told her the man was not there. Kellner hit the woman who then took her to the ground, police say.
Kellner also faces an assault and battery charge. If convicted of the super drunk charge, she could face up to 180 days in jail, 360 hours of community service, mandatory alcohol treatment and $700 in fines.
Kellner is free on a $2,000 bond. She is scheduled to appear in court June 13 for a pretrial hearing.
