DTE Energy set to rescue osprey from Berlin Township utility tower

BERLIN TOWNSHIP, Mich. - An osprey nest is stuck on a power pole in Berlin Township.

The pole, which is in a landfill off of U.S Turnpike Road, has an osprey nest on top of it and DTE Energy crews will be out there on Wednesday morning in bucket trucks to remove the nest and relocate it to a new location constructed across the road on state land.

Crews will be on scene at 8 a.m. and the rescue operation should take approximately three hours to complete.
