Neighbors want Pontiac nightclub closed

Council to vote on liquor license on Monday

A Pontiac bar, notorious for its sexy bikini contests and an incident in 2012 where two people were killed in a party bus in front of the business, is under fire from neighbors who want to see it closed down.

The Pontiac City Council held a public hearing on Little David's Bikini Bar Monday night. Among those testifying was an undercover sheriff's deputy and neighbors who claim the bar is home to women stripping and drug dealing. Oakland County has an ordinance that prohibits strip dancing.

In May 2012, Shuntrice Sylvester, 19, and Anthony Ellis, 28, were killed in the bar's parking lot after shots were fired into the party bus they were passengers on during an armed robbery.

The bar, on Kennett Street, just off Baldwin Avenue, could get the answer on its future next Monday, when the council meets to discuss the bar's liquor license.
