Most women satisfied with breast augmentation results

A recent study that appeared in the official medical journal of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, "Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery," shows that most women's results after breast augmentation surgery met or went beyond their expectations.

The study evaluated 225 women over a five-year period. The average patient was 34 years old, according to the American Society of Plastic Surgeons.

The ASPS said the women in the study had improvements in their self-esteem and quality of life after surgery.

Ninety-eight percent of the women surveyed said they were satisfied with their results.
