Nail polish thieves sought in Lake Orion

More than $1,600 worth of nail polish stolen

LAKE ORION, Mich. – Two people were caught on surveillance video stealing more than $1,600 worth of nail polish from CVS Pharmacy in Lake Orion.

Police responded to a report of retail fraud at the store on S. Broadway Street. The manager told officers they had discovered a large amount of nail polish had been stolen.

Surveillance video showed two incidents where the same woman stole over 90 bottles.

The first incident was on Saturday, Dec. 26, 2015 at 3 p.m. where the woman put a large amount of nail polish bottles in her purse and then left without paying.

The second time was on Thursday, Jan. 7, around 11:40 a.m. where she was accompanied by a man. She took the remainder of the nail polish left on shelf and again placed it in her purse without paying.

She is described as white, 5 feet 3 inches tall, weighing 130 pounds and has dark hair.
