Hours before his attorney general is expected to answer tough questions from the Senate intelligence committee on Russia's involvement in the U.S. presidential election, President Donald Trump fired off a hostile tweet about the media's alleged "agenda of hate."

Attorney General Jeff Sessions is scheduled to testify Tuesday afternoon -- watch it live here. President Trump did not mention this specifically in his tweet, but Sessions' testimony is the biggest national news story of the day. He also did not mention a specific report or news organization.

"The Fake News Media has never been so wrong or so dirty. Purposely incorrect stories and phony sources to meet their agenda of hate. Sad!" the U.S. President tweeted Tuesday morning. 

Trump is scheduled to tour a technical school in Wisconsin Tuesday as part of his push to boost jobs by increasing apprenticeships, according to the Associated Press.
