DETROIT – A Detroit mother said she's absolutely terrified after bullets flew into her home. To make matters worse, a 10-year-old boy was inside the home when the shots were fired.
There are bullet holes where a phone charger was shot out of th boy's hands. The child was scared, but otherwise unharmed.
The mother of seven was in her living room when the gunfire started Monday.
The woman said nine shots were fired at the home near Morang Avenue and I-94. There were nine people, including plenty of children as you as 3, inside the residence.
When the shots finally stopped, the woman rushed to check on her children. She said the shooting follows a monthslong dispute with her neighbors. Last month, Local 4 covered the conflict, which allegedly stems from a fight at a nearby school.
